Important Scoring Rules
- Non-Finishers: A competitor who does not finish the race (DNF) receives 5 points less than the lowest-placed finisher
- Definition of a Finisher: To be classified as a finisher, a driver must complete at least 67% of the race distance (rounded down to the nearest whole number of laps)
- Dropped Heats (National): In the National Championship (which consists of 6 heats per weekend), a competitor is allowed to drop their single worst heat result from that combined weekend. However, a heat cannot be dropped if the driver was excluded/disqualified from it or did not start
- Tie-Breakers: If points are tied at the end of the season/event, the winner is decided by the greatest number of 1st places. If still tied, it moves to 2nd places, then 3rd places, and so on. If a tie remains, the highest score in the last race takes preference
Weekend Prizes: The R25,000 cash prize is awarded to the highest-scoring driver across both rounds of each NATS weekend. Prizes are paid out within 30 days of the event conclusion.
Season Champion: The Mini Classes National Champions are determined by total championship points across all 8 rounds. Each class (Cadet, Mini ROK U/10, Mini ROK) awards an independent championship title.
General Terms: All prizes subject to full compliance with technical and sporting regulations throughout the season. Drivers under penalty or suspension at season end may forfeit prizes at the discretion of MSA and ROK Cup South Africa.
